Wedding Crashers

OK, so, once again, it's pretty good.

What's amazing is how little this movie has to do with the actual act of crshing weddings. There is a montage at the beginning of the film with a bunch of crashings, but then it basically becomes a romantic comedy with Owen Wilson in the lead and Vince Vaughn there for comic relief. And he is very funny. Wilson does pull off the romantic part pretty well. Which is a bit of a surprise. Also, I am totally in love with Rachel MacAdams now. So pretty. So good in this movie.

Major complaint. Way too long. I haven't thought about it enough to decide what I would cut, but that movie could be a good 20 mins. shorter. I foung myself looking at my watch for most of the last half hour. There is a great cameo at the end that I won't spoil, but leads to some of the funniest stuff in the movie.

Anyway, recommended, but don't feel bad if you decide just to rent it.

Corpse Bride

It's pretty good.

I haven't seen "Nightmare" in a while, but I would not put "Corpse" up at that high of quality. As Paul said, it felt like watching a TV special. Especially since it's barely and hour and fifteen minutes long. My biggest problem is that they don't spend enough time showing us the environment. There are little snipets, but the world is so awesome, I just kept wanting to see more, and never got to. All the things you would expect to be good (the animation, the humor, etc.) are, so it's not a dissapointment, but I sure wanted more when it was over.

I mean, I can't deny that I did it. But seriously, what were we thinking? Do people still do this? Or has it gotten to the point that with things like friendster and myspace, there's no annonimity anymore?

Seriously. Weird.
