When Was THIS Meeting

So when did it all of a sudden become OK to start filming "Day For Night"* again? I mean, it has its charms and uses, but it's really hard to see what's going on and I feel like today's budgets and lighting capabilities would allow for people to actually shoot at night. I'm talking mostly to the producers of "The 4400" here. I've seen it in other stuff as well, but they're the worst. Almost every night scene in the first season seems to be shot "Day For Night." Move into the now people.

Despite that, "The 4400" is totally enjoyable. I'm looking forward to ripping through Season 2 and catching up on Season 3.

*For those of you not in the know, "Day For Night" filming is a process where the scenes are shot in the day, but the exposure is messed with to make it look like nighttime. This seems to be done mostly for budgetary reasons as to not have to worry about lights. Big indications of this technique are when everything looks really blue, and when trees, etc. have very highly defined shadows.
